JewsInSchool Founder & Moderator

Our Founder continues to be anonymous, so that she can continue to report on complicated issues without risking the safety of our community and herself. Many of our community members and partners have known "MIchelle" for years. She began JewsInSchool 6 years ago reporting on misinformation in colleges & schools about Israel and in Holocaust curriculum. Her work exposing antisemitism led to discovering a number of issues in the education system that resulted in antisemitism, but were at their root, educational and systemic issues of indoctrination as the result of ideology that had infiltrated our academic system through DEI, ethnic studies and foreign funding.

She became a trusted source in the press for exposing issues in colleges and schools around the world. She began devoting her time to working with parents, students and teachers globally exposing issues of misinformation and antisemitism in schools, organically building a community of Jews who were seeking support during this societal shift. "Michelle" built JewsInSchool into a  coalition of Jews seeking change and a clearinghouse of resources and information. JewsInSchool were the first Jewish organization to petition the DOE and OCR on behalf of the Jewish community for k12 reform in America to promote honest curriculum, merit and academic standards. JewsInSchool has been mentioned as a trusted source in CNN, The Times of Israel and The Forward.

Dr. Naya Lekht

Dr. Naya Lekht is a scholar of contemporary antisemitism and works with the Jewish community to foster pride in the history of the Jewish people and create robust education on the history of antisemitism, the Arab-Israeli conflict, and the remarkable history of the Jewish people. Naya received her PhD in Russian Literature from UCLA where she wrote her dissertation on Holocaust literature in the Soviet Union. She is currently a Research Fellow for the Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy, where she works on developing curriculum on Jewish history and the history of antisemitism. She publishes widely on the Arab-Israeli conflict, antisemitism, and the Jewish education.  You can learn more about her at her website.

Dr. Naya Lekht on Teaching Antisemitism

Nicole Bernstein

Nicole is a mother of two in San Diego’s public school system, a first generation US-born, bilingual Israeli-American, the granddaughter of Holocaust survivors, and the Co-Founder of PeerK12, a San Diego based K-12 grassroots advocacy group.

Using personal and professional expertise in the ideological foundation of liberated ethnic studies, historical and modern antisemitism, as well as US foreign policy and Middle Eastern geopolitics, Nicole & PeerK12 help parents across the country advocate against the wave of institutionalized Jew-hatred, anti-American indoctrination, and biased pedagogies in the US K-12 education system at all governmental levels.

Rose Bronstein

Rose Bronstein is a founding board member of Buckets Over Bullying, a nonprofit organization created after her 15-year-old son Nate died by suicide after being viciously cyberbullied by classmates at the Latin School of Chicago. Her mission is to honor her son’s legacy by heightening awareness on the dangers and sometimes devastating consequences of cyberbullying and all social media-related harms through eduction, legislative reform and legal action.
Bronstein’s mission is to expose the misconduct of the NAIS and the private school industry. In many cases, NAIS schools choose their reputations and their endowments  over child safety and well being, which has resulted in harming many children and families across the country.

Lisa Liss - Q&A moderator

After working for Digital Advertising Agencies and Tech start-ups for 10 years, I left to take on my most important, challenging, and fulfilling role: Mother.

When my children entered public school, I knew the importance of maintaining an involvement in their education and I volunteered wherever, whenever, and however I could. It was due to this involvement that I was able to recognize the deep illness and rot in their schooling and in our district early on.

My advice to all parents is this:

Get Involved. Pay Attention. Participate.

The sad reality is that no one is coming to save our children; it's up to us, individually. This fight is NOT our children's to fight. It's ours.

Suggested Summer Homework for Parents:

1) Research your city/state department of education and academic standards. Familiarize yourself with the guidelines and curriculum that's being used across your local schools.

2) Find and connect with other like-minded families and teachers in your area. If a group hasn't been started yet, start one.
